A Message from the National Coordinator
Compassion must do more than touch a life. It must help make that life better.
For more than three decades, Reocoorph Foundation has sought to bring solace, relief and practical support to people who are vulnerable and disadvantaged in our communities.
Our work has always been rooted in compassion — particularly toward orphans and indigent children, widows, elderly people and families facing hardship.
Today, we are placing even greater emphasis on empowering people to become more self-reliant.
A small trader with enough working capital can keep her business alive. A widow who receives support to farm or trade can provide for her children. A person given an opportunity to earn a sustainable livelihood can begin to move beyond dependence.
This is why we are developing our programme of interest-free microloans and livelihood support for poor women and small traders, particularly within communities where faith, family and mutual responsibility remain strong.
But our work does not end with livelihoods. We continue to support children and education, care for vulnerable elderly people, food assistance, farming, clean water, environmental initiatives and other practical community projects. Our existing material documents these activities, including food support, computer access and training, farming assistance, tree planting, environmental clean-up and access to natural spring water.
We invite individuals, churches, organisations and friends of Reocoorph Foundation to join us in this work.
Together, we can turn compassion into opportunity, opportunity into self-reliance, and self-reliance into stronger families and communities.
